Google MapsPolice are searching for a driver who caused “significant damage” to a parked van in Barra before leaving the scene.
The white Ford Transit was struck by a vehicle while parked at Ciosmul Cottages in Castlebay between 1am and 1.15am on Sunday.
Police Scotland said significant damage was caused to the van and the vehicle failed to stop.
Enquiries to trace the vehicle and its driver are ongoing.
The force is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle involved and its driver.
“Officers are appealing to anyone with information that may assist their enquiries to contact 101 quoting reference number 0894 of February 9.”
