A man has appeared in court charged with indecently communicating with an older child.

Christopher Stephenson was arrested on Monday following reports of indecent online communication.

The 52-year-old appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Wednesday charged with communicating in a sexual manner with an older child and causing an older child to look at a sexual image.

He made no plea and was released on bail.

A date has not been set for his next court appearance.
