An investigation has been launched after police seized £2,700 worth of heroin from a car in Orkney.
Officers stopped a car on Monday as part of routine patrols near Churchill Barrier number 1, St Mary’s Village.
A quantity of heroin with an estimated street value of £2700 was seized.
Police Scotland said enquiries into the recovery are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Monday, January 13, 2025, officers stopped a car near Churchill Barrier number 1, St Mary’s Village, Orkney, as part of routine patrols.
“A quantity of heroin worth an estimated street value of £2700 was seized.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
