Scotland’s biggest landowner and his wife have become parents to twin girls, less than a year after three of their children were killed by suicide bombers in Sri Lanka.
Anders Holch Povlsen and his wife Anne welcomed the new arrivals on Wednesday.
Kristine Mønster, private secretary for the family, said: “The family greets these two little miracles with all their hearts.
“They are excited to get to know the girls and to welcome them as a life-affirming part of their family.”
She added Ms Povlsen had a good pregnancy and a birth with no complications.
The couple – who own a string of estates in the Highlands – lost five-year-old Alfred, Agnes, 12, and Alma, 15, in a bomb attack on Easter Sunday last year.
More than 250 people died during a wave of attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka.
The couple’s other daughter Astrid survived the blasts.
Mr Povlsen, the tycoon behind online clothing retailer Asos and Denmark’s wealthiest man, is believed to be the largest landowner in Scotland.
