A Loganair flight was forced to divert its journey after heavy snow caused an airport in Shetland to close.
Flight LM353 from Edinburgh to Sumbrugh Airport was due to land in Shetland at 8.45am on Monday morning.
However, the pilot was unable to land at the airport and forced to return to the capital due to snowy conditions.
A spokesperson for Loganair said: “Flight LM353 Edinburgh to Sumburgh diverted back to Edinburgh as Sumburgh Airport was closed due to snow.”
The diversion comes as most of Scotland has been under a yellow weather warning for snow and ice.
The Met Office warned that the conditions would cause hazardous travel conditions and told travellers to expect delays or cancellations.
More northern parts of Scotland were told to expect around 25cm of snow and “blizzard-like” conditions.
Sumburgh airport was forced to close due to the levels of snow in the area on Monday morning, January 15.
The airport has since reopened with some flights experiencing delays and cancellations.
