A man has died following a crash involving a van and a recovery lorry on the A9.
The collision happened on the northbound carriageway at around 11.50am on Friday, near Dalnaspidal, approximately 2.5 miles south of Dalwhinnie.
It involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a recovery lorry.
A 20-year-old man, who was a passenger in the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 52-year-old male driver of the van was assessed by ambulance crews for minor injuries. No one else was injured.
The A9 was closed for over nine hours while investigations were carried out and reopened at around 9pm.
Sergeant Mike Guild, of the Tayside Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may have information or dashcam footage from the area to get in touch.
