A man has died in hospital after a single-car crash on the Isle of Skye.
Officers were called to a one-car crash on the A87 near Breakish which took place around 10.05pm on Monday with the road closed overnight.
A 39-year-old man driving the car was taken to Broadford Hospital where he died a short time later.
Officers said two passengers, a man and a woman, were also taken hospital to be checked over.
Emergency services have put a local diversion in place but drivers are still being urged to avoid the area.
The road reopened around 2pm on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland statement read: “The A87 has re-opened following a one car crash near Breakish on Skye that happened around 10.05pm on Monday, December 2.
“Emergency services attended and the car driver, a 39-year-old man, was taken to Broadford Hospital where he died a short time later. His next of kin are aware.
“Two passengers, a man and a woman, were also taken hospital to be checked over.
“Thank you to everyone for their patience.”
