A man was airflifted to hospital following a quad bike crash on the Isle of Lewis.
Emergency services were alerted to a one-vehicle crash on the single-track road between Berie Farmhouse and the Reef junction in Uig at around 9.45pm on Thursday.
A 45-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to serious injuries.
Officers said enquiries are ongoing.
The road was closed for around 20 hours to allow for investigations to take place.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the crash to get in touch with us.
“Similarly, anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV which may have captured what happened should contact us.”
