No one was injured in the collision involving three vehicles on the Highland road on Wednesday afternoon.

A man has been charged with dangerous driving over a three-car crash that forced the air ambulance to be scrambled in the Highlands.

Emergency crews shut down a section of the A9 near Dalwhinnie following the collision on Wednesday afternoon.

Paramedics and fire crews supported police in the operation, while air support was also called in, however remarkably no one was injured.

The road has since been reopened, while a man has been charged over the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a three vehicle crash on the A9 near Dalwhinnie at around 3pm today.

“One man has been charged in connection with dangerous driving.

“The road was re-opened around 5.20pm.”
