Google MapsA man has died, and a child has been injured after a crash in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the Heights of Achterneed area near Strathpeffer at around 4.30pm on Friday.
Paramedics pronounced a man dead at the scene. A child also sustained minor injuries during the incident.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash in the Heights of Achterneed area near Strathpeffer around 4.30pm on Friday, June 12, 2026.
“A man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin is aware.
“A child also sustained minor injuries.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
