A man has died after his motorcycle crashed in an industrial estate in Orkney.
Gerard Kerins, 35, was involved in the collision on Crowness Crescent in Hatston Industrial Estate, Kirkwall, on Saturday.
Police have now made an appeal for witnesses after the incident, which happened around 4pm.
Officers are providing support to Mr Kerins’ family as they carry out enquiries.
Sergeant David Miller said: “First and foremost our thoughts go out to Mr Kerins’ family and friends at this sad time.
“Officers from the Road Policing Unit are in Orkney carrying out enquiries on respect of this collision and are providing support to Mr Kerins’ family.
“I would encourage anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the black KTM motorcycle in the area before, or who may have dash cam footage that could assist our investigation, to contact police.”
