Man taken to hospital after quad bike crash as witness appeal launched

A man was taken to hospital following a quad bike crash on the Isle of Harris

Emergency services were alerted to a one-vehicle crash on the A859 in Borveat around 4.35pm on Saturday.

A 54-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers said enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Doug Scott from the Road Policing Unit said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage of the A859 to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2118 of Saturday, 15 November, 2025.
