A motorcyclist is in critical condition in hospital following a serious crash near Beauly.
The 67-year-old male was taken to Raigmore Hospital after a collision involving a black Mazda CX5 car and two Yamaha motorcycles on the A862 Inverness to Ardullie road, at its junction with A833 towards Kiltarlity, at around 11.06am on Saturday May 17.
The driver of the car and the other motorcyclist were uninjured.
The 47-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.
The road was closed while investigations were ongoing and re-opened about 7pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay of Road Policing North said: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1290 of Saturday, 17 May, 2025.”
