A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the A93 near Spittal of Glenshee around 3.45pm on Saturday following reports of a collision involving a blue Kawasaki motorcycle and a blue Audi A6.
The 61-year-old male motorbike rider was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious condition.
No one else was injured in the collision.
The road was closed for around nine hours to allow enquiries to be carried out, and later reopened at 12.45am on Sunday.
Sergeant John McDiarmid, Perth Road Policing, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this crash or who was driving around this time to contact us.
“In addition, anyone with relevant dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist.”
