A fresh appeal has been launched to trace a man who went missing while camping in Scotland six months ago.
Neil Skinner from Doncaster was last seen camping close to Loch Dochard in the Bridge of Orchy area on Sunday, May 8.
Friends found his tent and trekking poles the following day, but there has been no sign of the 71-year-old since.
His family didn’t know he had travelled from his home in Doncaster to Scotland until daughter received a call from the police.
Six months on from his disappearance, and despite extensive police searches and enquiries, Mr Skinner remains missing and has not been found.
Inspector Ian Hutchison said: “This has been an incredibly distressing six months for Neil’s family and we have remained in contact with them throughout.
“They would like Neil to be found and I would continue to urge anyone who may have information or any knowledge of Neil to get in touch.
“Anyone who was walking in the area around that time or since who believes they may have seen anything out of the ordinary to let us know so we can follow it up.”
He is described as 5ft 8in in height with short, white hair, a white goatee-type beard and wearing glasses. When last seen he was wearing a green jacket and grey walking trousers.
Inspector Hutchison added: “Any new information received will continue to be investigated fully and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 3773 of May 9, 2022.”
