A newborn baby helped his dad propose to his mum on Christmas Day.
Tiny tot Leo Maciver was born on Christmas Eve weighing 6lb 1oz at Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
Proud dad Connor Maciver, 23, dressed him up in a babygrow reading ‘mummy will you marry daddy?’, at the maternity unit on December 25.
Stunned new mum Annice Macleod, 22, said yes, and the couple are enjoying settling in with their new arrival after getting home on Boxing Day.
The couple, from Stornoway, will celebrate their six-year anniversary in January and have yet to set a date for their wedding.
Leo was born three weeks early and carer Annice had a natural birth.
Connor, a road worker, said: “He’s a wee cracker, we won’t forget it anyway.
“He was born three weeks early, and I proposed on Christmas Day.
“Leo was wearing the babygrow, I was standing behind Annice and had the ring in my hand.
“She was a bit shocked to be honest.
“We’ve got an awful lot of settling down to do with him.”
