A man seen heading towards woodland has disappeared as the north of Scotland is battered by wind and rain.
Eddie Macgregor was last seen in Thurso at around 8.10pm on the B874 road at the Glengolly junction.
The 27-year-old was seen on foot at the time and heading in the direction of the woodland section of Glengolly.
There is increasing concern for Mr Macgregor amid severe weather affecting northern and eastern parts of the country.
He is described as being 6ft tall with short black hair.
Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace him.
“We are growing increasingly concerned for Eddie following him failing to return home last night and the recent inclement weather in the area,” a spokesperson for the force said.
“We would appeal to anyone who knows where he is to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 3162 of November 18, 2022.”
