A group of passengers who had been involved in a bus accident close to a shore were found by police admiring a pod of dolphins in Arran.
Officers patrolling the island on Wednesday discovered a bus which had slid into a ditch on the A841.
While waiting on another bus to come, the passengers were “delighted” to witness a large pod of dolphins swim past them close to a nearby shore.
Pictures from the scene appear to show the passengers unaffected by their recent accident – instead appreciating the aquatic animals as they make their way by.
Bottlenose dolphins can be seen all around the coast of Scotland, and are usually best spotted from May to September.
No one was injured as a result of the accident.
A police spokesperson said: “Arran officers on patrol on Wednesday came across a bus which had slid into a ditch on the A841.
“No one was found to be injured, and while they waited for another bus to come, the passengers were delighted to see a large pod of dolphins swim past them close to the shore.”
