Police are investigating after reports a drone pilot acted “aggressively” at a popular dolphin-spotting site.

Bottlenose dolphins feeding near the shore in the summer attract wildlife lovers to Chanonry Point, near Fortrose on the Black Isle.

A man flying a drone at around 1.40pm on Saturday, March 21, was reportedly aggressive towards a member of the public after being approached.

Officers have asked for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson, said: “At about 1.40pm on Saturday March 21 at Chanonry Point, Fortrose a man who was flying a drone was approached by a member of the public.

“An argument took place during which the drone pilot acted in an aggressive manner. Were you in the area at the time?

“If you have any information that could help us, please contact us via 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting PS-20260321-0263.”
