Police are investigating the “unexplained” death of a person after a body was found in Caithness.
Officers responded to reports of a body being found in the area of Freswick around 10am on March 28.
The force confirmed that the death is being treated as “unexplained” and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 10am on Thursday, March 28, 2024 officers were made aware of the body of a person being found in the area of Freswick, Caithness.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
“The death is unexplained at this stage and enquiries are continuing.”
