A search has been launched for a dog stolen from a property in the Highlands.

Police say an 18 month old Border Collie called ‘Skye’ was stolen from a property in Berriedale, Caithness between the evening of Monday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

The dog is described as mainly black with white patches on her nose, neck, chest and feet.

She is not chipped and does not have a collar.

A Police Scotland statement read: “We’re appealing for information after Skye – an 18 month old border collie was stolen from a property in Berriedale, Caithness some time between the evening of Monday March 3 and Tuesday March 4, 2025.

“Skye is mainly black with white patches on her nose, neck, chest and feet. She is not chipped and does not have a collar.

“If you have any information that you believe may assist our enquiries, please contact us either online or through 101 quoting crime reference CR/0085724/25.”
