Police hunt group of four after high-value whisky stolen from distillery

Police are searching for a group of four people after bottles of high-value whisky were stolen from a distillery on the Isle of Skye.

An unknown number of bottles with a total value of £1,600 were taken from Talisker distillery in Carbost around 12.30pm on Sunday.

Officers are now searching for three men and a woman, all described as Asian and around 30 years old.

One of the men was described as being of slim build and having dark short hair, stubble and a short beard.

He was wearing dark glasses, a blue denim top with a cream fleece lining and dark trousers.

Another of the men was said to be of slim build, had dark stubble and wore a dark T-shirt, jacket and jeans, as well as a Super Dry cap.

The third man had dark, medium-length hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark button jacket with a white top underneath, and light trousers.

Police said the woman had long dark hair and was wearing two pairs of glasses, and a dark jacket, and skirt. She had Converse-style platform shoes.

Anyone who can give any information about the identity of the persons described is asked to please contact Police Scotland via 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
