A primary school in the Highlands has suffered “extensive damage” after being vandalised.
Police said they were making enquiries into the incident after wooden picnic benches were damaged within the playground of Grantown on Spey primary school.
School fencing has also been vandalised, with extensive littering and several smashed glass bottles discovered within the playground.
The damage was caused between Friday, December 17 and Monday, December 20.
Officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area as a result of the incident.
Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed the damage or people within the school grounds during this time are urged to get in touch on 101.
