A road on the Isle of Skye has been closed after a crash during the night with drivers told to expect “lengthy” disruption.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the A87 at Breakish was closed in both directions after the collision at around 10pm on Monday.

The road remains closed in both directions with emergency services at the scene.

Drivers are being warned to expect a “lengthy closure” on the road.

A Traffic Scotland post read: “The A87 at Breakish is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic accident.

“Road users are advised that there is no suitable diversion route available and to follow instruction of emergency services at the scene.”
