A road has been closed in both directions after a pedestrian was knocked down by a car.
Emergency services were called to the B9006 in Inverness following reports of a collision at around 10.05am on Monday.
The section of the road between Inshes roundabout and the junction for Inverness Campus has been closed.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The B9006 in Inverness is closed in both directions from Inshes roundabout to the junction for Inverness Campus following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian, which was reported around 10.05am.
“Emergency services are in attendance.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
