The robbery of man in a car park in Inverness could be linked to recent anti-social behaviour in a nearby housing estate.
Police were called to the Hilton Village car park after a 56-year-old man was robbed of his mobile phone, wallet, and keys at 6.40am on Tuesday.
Officers say the incident could be linked to recent calls of anti-social behaviour within the Hilton Housing Estate.
An enquiry has been launched to trace a man described as 35-40 years old, between 5’ 10” and 6” foot in height, with short hair and was wearing dark clothing at the time of the robbery.
DC Craig McFarlane said: “Fortunately the man wasn’t seriously injured during the robbery but was left evidently shaken.
“We are seeking the help of the public to trace the man responsible. He is described as aged 35-40 years, between 5’ 10” and 6” foot in height, with short hair and wearing dark clothing.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing, including reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
“Around the same time, we received calls of anti-social behaviour within the Hilton Housing Estate, and we are keeping an open mind as to whether the incidents are linked.
“I would ask those who were in the area at the time to contact police if they have any information that could assist with our investigation.
