The search for a hillwalker who went missing in Glencoe has entered its fourth day.

Charles Kelly left his home in Tillicoultry on Wednesday, September 6, and last contacted his family at around 8pm on Thursday.

Police Scotland, Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team, and Tayside Mountain Rescue Team have all launched a search for Mr Kelly, but confirmed that after three days he has not traced.

Officers have asked that anyone who was on the hills in Glencoe on Wednesday onwards, to check any photos they may have taken on the day.

A spokesperson for Glencoe Mountain Rescue said: “As the third day of searching comes to a close we sadly have still been unable to locate Charles Kelly.

“We would like to ask again for anyone who was on the hills in Glencoe, particularly the Glen Etive and White Corrie’s (Glencoe Ski Centre) areas Wednesday onwards to think back and check your photos of the day for any sign of Charles.

“He is believed to be wearing a dark green fleece top, dark grey combat trousers and a black waterproof jacket.”

Members of the public with any information that can help with the search are asked to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting incident 4788 of the September 7.
