A search is underway for a missing man in the Cairngorms who has not been seen in more than 24 hours.
The last sighting of David Wightman was in the Cairn Toul area at around 2pm on Friday.
The 62-year-old has not been in contact with any friends or family since and concern over his welfare is growing.
He is described as being around 6ft2 and usually wears glasses.
When last seen he was wearing a black Berghaus jacket and was carrying a black rucksack with a yellow rain protector.
Police have asked for the public’s assistance in tracing Mr Wightman.
A spokesman for the force said: “Anyone who has any information in relation to Mr Wightman’s whereabouts should contact police on 101.”
