Google MapsA search has been launched at a canal in the Highlands after emergency services were alerted to concern for a person.
The alarm was raised in the area of the Caledonian Canal near the Muirtown Swing Bridge in Inverness at around 6.50am.
Police remain in attendance at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of concern for a person in the area of the Caledonian Canal near to the Muirtown Swing Bridge in Inverness around 6.50am on Monday, June 29, 2026.
“Emergency services are currently at the scene.”
