Stargazers were treated to a stunning display by the Aurora Borealis on Wednesday night.
The Northern Lights were spotted in Moray and the Highlands, with hues of green, purple and red visable in the skies.
Jenna Dalgetty spotted green hues over Inverness, while Steve Milne in Clochan was treated to a multicoloured display over the Scottish Women’s Land Army Memorial.
Jenna DalgettyAurora Watch UK issued a red warning on Wednesday evening, indicating the phenomenon would be visible by both eye and camera.
The Northern Lights are caused by solar eruptions known as Coronal Mass Ejections.
The solar particles fire towards the Earth and interact with the atmosphere, resulting in the breathtaking light displays.
The Met Office said stargazers in the north of Scotland could be treated to another display on Thursday evening if skies are clear.
