A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in the Highlands.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning on High Street in Alness.
The male officer was unhurt following the incident.
The boy was arrested and charged and was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a male officer on High Street, Alness.
“The incident happened around 1am on Monday, November 20.
“The officer was uninjured.
“The 16-year-old boy is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.”
