A teenager has been arrested after a “malicious email” was sent to several schools in the Highland area.
Police were contacted after schools in the Nairn, Auldearn, Forres and Inverness areas received an email around 8.20am on Friday.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested, and enquiries are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.20am on Friday, February 28, 2025, officers were made aware of a malicious email sent to a number of schools in the Nairn, Auldearn, Forres and Inverness area.
“A 19-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
