Ten people have been taken to hospital following a three-car crash between Inverness and Dores.

Police were called to the crash involving a Toyota Prius, a Landrover Discovery, and an Audi A3 on the B862 at Scaniport around 8.05pm on Wednesday.

The driver of the Toyota and four passengers were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious and minor injuries.

The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with a serious injury while four passengers were also taken to hospital and later discharged.

The driver of the Landrover was uninjured.

The road was closed for around seven hours while investigations were carried out.

Sergeant Neil MacDonald said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for witnesses.

“If you were in the area and have not already spoken to officers then please get in touch.

“Anyone driving in the area around the time of the crash is asked to check dash-cam and see if they have any information that could assist with our investigation.”
