Three people charged after assault on 14-year-old girl

Two women and a teenager have been charged in connection with the assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Police confirmed that they had identified and charged women aged 62 and 34, as well as a 15-year-old girl, in connection with the incident.

An appeal had been launched following the incident, which took place on Monday at around 8:45 pm in Invergordon.

Officers said the 14-year-old girl was approached by two unknown women and a teenager girl before being assaulted.

She was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment for minor injuries before later being released.
