Three women have been rescued by lifeboat after they became stranded on a small island.
The women were cut off by the tide after spending the afternoon on an island off Arisaig in the Highlands.
Mallaig RNLI Lifeboat rescued the trio and took them back to shore after they called for help at around 7.30pm on Saturday.
A coastguard spokeswoman said: “They had been enjoying their day on the island and then realised they were cut off by the tide.
“You can walk to the island at low tide but it is cut off at high tide.”
The women were said to be safe and well after the experience.
