Tributes have been paid by the family of a pensioner who died following a crash in the Highlands.
Frank Spencer, 74, crashed his vehicle on the A938 near Carrbridge on Thursday, May 26, at around 5.40pm.
A 73-year-old female passenger was taken to Raigmore Hospital, whilst Mr Spencer was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement, the family of Mr Spencer paid tribute to a “beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend”.
And they thanked first responders who attended the scene following the incident for their “professionalism and empathy”.
“Tragically, as a result of events on May 26, 2022, we sadly lost Frank Spencer, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend,” the family said.
“Julia was seriously injured but is receiving amazing care at Raigmore hospital.
“The whole family would like to thank the people who were first on scene, for their kindness and compassion.
“Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the emergency services for their professionalism and empathy, which has helped immensely.”
Police Scotland has appealed for information following the fatal incident.
Officers have asked that anyone who has information about the incident contacts Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2596.
