Two hill walkers have been rescued after becoming stranded in snowy conditions in the Highlands.
The Kintail Mountain Rescue team were called to the scene on Forcan Ridge in Glen Shiel at around 1.30pm on Saturday.
Assisted by Police Scotland, a team headed up onto the ridge in fading daylight amid heavy snow, and made their way to the casualties’ location above the ‘bad step’.
Once located, they were checked over and warmed up before being lowered off the ridge to safer ground.
A statement from Kintail Mountain Rescue team said: “The casualties did the right thing by phoning for help before matters got worse, helping to avoid a more serious call out.
“Thanks to the Kintail Lodge Hotel for offering soup, and thanks as always to our volunteers for their amazing efforts.”
