Two men have appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a man in Inverness.
Nathan Hunter, 31, and James Marshall, 32, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday following an incident in the Baron Taylor Street and Lombard Street area on Friday morning.
Both men, from Inverness, face charges of assault to severe injury, danger of life, attempted murder and robbery.
Hunter also faces a separate charge under the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012. He made no plea and was granted bail with another appearance to be confirmed.
Marshall made no plea and was remanded in custody. He will appear before court again within the next eight days.
