Two men have died after their vehicle left the road and plunged into water on the A87.
Emergency services were called to the road after 8am near the Invergarry Hotel on Friday morning.
A car was found in the River Garry and two men, aged 27 and 31, were pronounced dead at the scene.
STV understands that the two men were not from the local area.
The A87 was closed in both directions at Invermoriston and Spean Bridge for the A82 and at Invergarry and Bun Loyne for the A87 but has since reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance after a vehicle left the road and entered the water off the A87.
“Two men, aged 27 and 31, were pronounced dead at the scene.
“Their next of kin are aware and are being supported by police.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service area commander Michael Humphreys said: “Operations control mobilised two appliances and two water rescue teams to assist emergency service partners.
“Sadly two men were pronounced dead at the scene.”
“Our thoughts are very much with family, friends and the wider community at this difficult time.”
