Two women charged after 'incident' on school grounds

Two women have been charged after an incident took place on school grounds in the Highlands.

Police were called to assist with a matter at Tain Academy on March 10 on the grounds of the secondary school.

Two women have since been charged in connection with threatening and abusive behaviour.

Police say reports will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, we were called to assist with a matter that had taken place at a school in Tain.

“Two women have been charged in connection with threatening and abusive behaviour.

“Reports will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
