A vulnerable man was seriously injured after being assaulted and robbed in an Inverness street.
The 58-year-old victim was attacked by two men in Nelson Street at around 1.15pm on Sunday.
As well as a sum of money, the thieves stole personal items.
The victim required hospital treatment after the attack.
The first suspect is believed to be around 30-years-old with dark hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
The second man was described as older with a shaved head. He was wearing a beige jacket and blue jeans, and was last seen in the Grant Street area,
Detective sergeant Steven Mackenzie said: “This crime resulted in serious injuries to the vulnerable victim, requiring hospital treatment.
“We are asking anyone who may have been in the area around the time and seen either the incident itself, or the men in question, to please get in touch.”
