A woman has been killed in a two-vehicle car crash in the Highlands.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision at 7.50am this morning on the A95 near Aviemore.
A 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have closed the A95 in both directions at Broomhill Station near Dulnain Bridge, with Traffic Scotland issuing diversion updates for drivers.
Drivers are being urged to use alternative routes while investigations are carried out at the scene.
Diversions have been put in place for traffic coming from the north and south with details being updated on the Traffic Scotland website and on Twitter.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50am on Wednesday, September 14, officers were called to reports of a two vehicle crash on the A95 near Dulnain Bridge.
“Emergency services attended and a 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The road remains closed.”
