A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the Highlands as police search for a van driver who may be a potential witness.
Police were called to Main Street in Golspie around 8.50pm on October 11 following the crash involving a Hyundai i20 and a pedestrian.
The 62-year-old woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital, where her condition has been described as critical but stable.
Investigations so far have found that a small green van was travelling north just before the collision happened.
The force is asking the van’s occupants to contact them and urging anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Chris Donaldson, Road Policing North, said: “I am appealing to the occupants of the green van to contact us. It’s highly likely they will have information which could assist our enquiries.
“I would also ask anyone else who was in the area at the time who thinks they have information regarding the incident to please pass it on.
“Information can be passed to officers via 101. Please quote incident number 3580 of Friday, October 11, 2024 when calling.”
