Police are treating the death of a woman in a property in Inverness as “unexplained”.
Officers were called to Merkinch Place at around 1.30pm on Friday, December 26, following the death of a woman.
Police said the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
Her next of kin have been made aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Friday, December 26, 2025, we were made aware of the death of a woman in the Merkinch Place area of Inverness.
“Next of kin are aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
