A woman has been rescued after becoming stranded on an island on a sea loch in the Highlands.
The 22-year-old became stuck on the islet on Loch Linnhe near the village of Inverlochy north of Fort William after the tide came in on Friday and emergency services were called at around 7.30pm.
Members of the Fort William and Fort Augustus Fire Stations worked with Police Scotland officers to coordinate the rescue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.30pm on Friday, April 21, 2023, we were called to assist a member of the public who was stuck on a small island near Inverlochy, Fort William.
“Officers and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended.
“The 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
