The woman who died in a crash on the A9 on Sunday has been named as 21-year-old Samantha Davies.
Police received a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a Nissan Micra at around 10am on Sunday, February 6, on the road near the Artafallie junction on the Black Isle. There were no other occupants in the car.
The road was closed for five hours following the incident and police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
Sergeant David Miller said: “Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Samantha at this difficult time.
“Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision and has not already spoken to us or anyone who might have dashcam footage to contact us.
“We are grateful to everyone who has assisted our enquiries so far.”
