Woman who died in Highlands crash is named by police

A woman who died following a car crash in the Highlands has been named by police.

Karen McKeddie, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene after her Toyota RAV4 crashed on the C1016, between Alness and Achandunie, north of Millcraig Road, during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Her family has been made aware and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Kate Park said: “We are still appealing to anyone who was on this road between 10.30pm on Saturday evening and 12.40am on Sunday morning and who witnessed this crash happen or who may have dashcam footage from the area to come forward.”
