The A9 has been closed near Dunblane after a trailer carrying chickens crashed.
Emergency services were called to reports of a crash on the road at around 1pm on Thursday.
Police confirmed the northbound carriageway at Balhadie was closed.
Images taken at the scene show blue crates strewn across the central reservation and by the side of the road.
Drivers have been urged to use alternative routes.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A9 is closed northbound at Balhadie near Dunblane following a report of a crash in involving a pickup and trailer carrying chickens that happened around 1pm on Thursday, November 13.
“Road users are advised to avoid the area.”
