Rush hour collision shuts down A9 in both directions

The A9 was closed in both directions on Monday morning, following a rush hour collision involving two vehicles.

Emergency services attended the scene of the crash near Kindallachan at around 7am on April 3.

It is not known whether there were any injuries as a result of the crash at this stage.

Drivers were urged to use an alternative route if possible, as the road was closed off until 10am.

One lane was later reopened, to allow vehicles travel in both directions.

Stagecoach East said it was expecting disruption to its 23 service in both directions as a result of the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A9 near Kindallachan, around 7am on Monday, April 3, 2023.

“Emergency services are in attendance and the A9 is closed at Kindallachan in both directions.”
