A90 blocked in both directions by 'fallen power cables'

The A90 is blocked in both directions in Aberdeenshire amid reports of fallen power cables.

Traffic Scotland confirmed the road was blocked at Fordoun at around 6am on Thursday.

The latest update states that there are no traffic delays in the area as of yet.

Emergency services are on he scene, as well as SSEN units and workers from road network AMEY.

A Traffic Scotland statement reads: “#A90 Fordoun. Carriageway currently restricted in both directions due to a fallen power line which is currently lying across both the Northbound and Southbound carriageways.

“Police, SSEN and Amey unit are currently on site.

“No delays in the area.”
